  • Time templates and missing data on different exchanges in efs (Exchange timezone)

I have eSignal set to Exchange Timezone.

I normally look at the ES, ie Chicago, pit hrs 8:30-15:15
If I use the "=2" symbol I get a couple of extra (5min) bars ie 15:15 and 15:20.
So I set a time template as per the pit hours and use the "base" symbol.

I then add some efs that processes a stock symbol (exchange is NY Time).

For the stock symbol I see no data after 2:15 on the indicator pane (ie 15:15 in NY). This is wrong surely, the use of data from different timezones must be common.

You can resolve that by setting the Time Template to Automatic Start/End Times

      Thanks Alexis, yes but....

Yes, I see that (with the =2 symbol) Auto works well, thanks, fixes one problem.

But I also use specific hours, like 3:30 to 15:15 to get the pre-market Europe session. With that I still get the 14:15 cut-off in the US stocks (yes I know that the pre-market is a bit odd for the US stocks).

So I still say there is a general case for calling this a "bug" and that the time-template should be resolved back to UCT based on the chart and then applied to the other data series in their own timezones.
