  • efs file corrupted?

I have been using the bidaskvolume.efs file for over a year without problems. in the last few days, it has turned on me. i use it on the ES and therefore almost never see any black, the color of trades between the bid and ask. now i'm seeing a lot of it. additionally, i use volume charts and so the total of the bid/ask volume should add up to the total of my set volume candles. it now frequently does not add up, e.g., 3000V chart with bid/ask totally around 2000).

i redownloaded the file from the file share area, replacing the old one on my computer. no change.

can the file get corrupted over time? could the data stream somehow have changed that the efs doesn't react the same?

(there have been no changes to my computer hardware or software. i don't sense any change in market activity recently.)

    Hi,

Though this issue seems to be one for the developers at eSignal I think I had a related issue.

FWIW the same issue occurred with time&sales. It seems that versions under 10.4 no longer support the bid/ask coloring as before. Once they changed the bid/ask feed at eSignal to a more accurate one, the correct coloring feature only works with eSignal ver 10.4.

    I hope this helps.
