Is it possible to code an EFS to count how many times it has been loaded?

I need to be able to control how many times someone can open a given EFS to look at it for trial purposes.

I understand that we can getDay, getMonth, getYear etc. and run a trial period that way - as an additional backup I wanted to also add a limited number of times it could be run (to say 500).

Is this possible?
