    Hi!

I downloaded the EFS-file of the DMI created by Matt Gundersen from the file sharing section.
But if I apply it to an advanced chart, no matter which interval I use or how volatile the chart data is, it always shows a value of 100
Does anyone have a clue how to solve this prob?

    Btw:
The indicator demands setting a length for the RSI. As far as I know is the main advantage of the DMI it´s variable RSI determined by the volatility/average true range?!
How can I set RSIlen, when it rather should be variable?

    Thx

    Hello Swingie,

Please tell me what file share group and exact file name that you are referring to. I'll take a look at it.

        Hello Swingie,

TS Support originally developed this formula. I have identified the problem, but I do not know what the adjustment should be. It's possible that this formula was not intended to be used with intra-day intervals. I'll ask TS Support to review this thread.

Here are the details for TS Support.

On a daily interval, for example, the result for "DTime" is within a range of approximately 0 - 30. Which allows the value of VarLenDMI[0] to be set to varying values of UpLimt, LoLimt or DTime.

On any intra-day interval, 5 min for example, "DTime" is within a range of 100-500 approximately. This causes VarLenDMI[0] to be set to UpLimt, or 30, for every iteration. Thus resulting in a flat line for the DMI calculation.
