does anybody know how to group a series of stocks together and then form them as an indicator , for instance there are 12 stocks that create a 60 percent weighting in the dow .
is there anyway to add them up and then have that group
as an indicator . i have done this before with other software yet not sure how to do it with esignal .

You can achieve this as a simple multi-leg spread where the symbol would be for example
    IBM +MSFT +INTC +GE +etc
(make sure there is a space before each operator and none after).
If you wanted to give a different weight to each individual symbol you can apply it by typing a number before the symbol. For example
    2IBM +0.7MSFT +3INTC +etc
    Hope this helps

This sounds interesting but I'm not sure how the answer relates to the question *group together*. Can either of you elaborate please?

I ask this as I watch the top 16 stocks by market cap in the FTSE 100 which are placed at the top of my quote board.
