    My lower MA study has

    setPriceStudy(false)

When I insert it, all is well.
Drag to upper chart - all is well. (See Image 1)

PROBLEM: When I change setPriceStudy(false) to (true), it flatlines all of the the bars on the chart and the study when inserted (see Image 2).

    What am I missing here?

That happens because the efs returns a value which is much smaller than the price value so the scales are very different. The chart adjusts to the scale of the value returned by the efs so it compresses the price bars to display the efs plot. The reason the MA study displays fine when dragged into the price pane is that each retains it's own scale and the MA plot is only overlaid on the chart and not scaled concurrently with the chart price values.
