How to Create new functions?

Since I haven't received any reply regarding my request for a "ValueWhen" type of function, I take it, that no such function exists in EFS. My next question will therefore be: Is it possible to create this function and if so - how do you do it?

Best place to start is to post your efforts and that gives others the opportunity to modify your code if you get on the wrong track.

Javascript isn't an array based language so it's best not to approach your solution from that perspective.
