Is there any way to force the file routine to read from a directory other than the default "Formula Output Root"??

I have tried all kinds of things and I can't get it to read from anywhere BUT the Formula Output Root.

Any help anyone??

In the past, have tried and failed, however, you may want to try and save a file in a different location, maybe this will provide some insight.

There shouldn't be a way to do this, as it is important for security reasons to limit the write ability of a formula.

If you ever do find a way, directly from an EFS, to write to anything other than formula root or sub dirs of formula root, then it is a bug.

However, if you use .DLL (or maybe even .asp) then you should be able to write anywhere.
