  • "Reading" TrendLines Values

    Hi,

    1. Is it possible to read (into an efs file) the extended values of a trend line plotted with the line tool?
(Extended values means future values, after the last reference point)
    2. Same question for lines drawn from within efs.

    Thanks,
    Mihai

    No to both.

I'm not sure if #1 will ever happen, but I have requested, and been told it is on the todo list, for #2. Understand that not all linetools can even be drawn in EFS currently.

      FollowUp Q

      Hi Garth,

Thank you for your fast reply.

FollowUp question for a power efs coder:

Given that it is a line, its slope is constant and its delta from bar to bar it is fixed, therefor, predictable in time.

Can someone write a sample efs function that calculates the value of the line for every bar?
(Note: My skills are too "rusty" for such task. I can design you an IBM mainframe or other similar toys though, lol).

      Thank you.

        Hi,

If what you want is a trendline study, might I suggest you look at Chris's web site. He has a great trendline EFS for sale, and it is pretty inexpensive.

        Look HERE for details.
