How to's? Where are the simple tutorials?

Hi, I'm new..
My wish here was to place a copy of a formula ( I have it in e language ready to go) into a chart and then backtest it. Unforetunately I waited till too late because support is closed for a meeting. I can find nothing simple or even anything anywhere in "help" about doing something this simple. If you could be so kind and please link me to appropriate pages or just lead me to a simple explanation. I'm amazed at how frustrating it is to find a tutorial this simple. There are no tutorials!
