Hi can anybody say me how to realize that at the marked points i define a trendchange ... i tested so much things but dont find a way to realize that because i do if > lower -- long and if < upper -- short so the 2 conditions are true and it does a Short instead a long...

Dont those green bars go short at the right time?

How can both conditions be true at the same time?

You need to look at two bars of data, that's the the only way the conditons can both be different.

i have a new idea... dolomis can you say me how to code that when the envelope crosses the lower -- buys a long when he crosses the basis upwards he waits for crossing it twice --> do.sell and when he crosses upper from above --> short - 2 times cross basis--> do cover

i tried it but i dont know it doesnt work perhabs i got a stupid defect in my formula

                      regards erilein

                        Hi Dave,

Hey that formula looks good ....is that Price cross BB's?

I think a formula for this would be handy for traders. It's the 3,-3sma
                        cross Bollinger signal.
Oh yeah I use BB 1.2 std. dev. 20 length ok, but...sometimes I use 13.
What do you think? Here's a chart.

BTW, you know I don't need a formula signal , I can see it cross.<g>
A popup alert may be best. Is Esignal planning on quotesheet formulas?....still miss that RQ feature.
I'm gonna start trading futures again next week....

                        Best,

                        Jeff

@jjorden could you be so kind and post your formula ?!

                          this would be intresting...

                            Jeff,

I believe the plan in the eSignal 8.x Series is to revamp the GUI. Among the changes involved in that, a new Quote Window will likely be released that will be able to display studies. Not sure on the details beyond that, but I'd thought I'd throw that out as a teaser.
                            Regards,
                            Jay F.

I think it would be interesting to.....maybe Dave or someone will create a formula like that.
I just assumed it was similar to
the erilein.efs and he might want to give it a try?

I just watch the chart when I'm using bollinger bands.
                              It's a pretty good signal.

                              Best,

                              ~j

Thanks Jay.....I'll watch for the formulated quotesheet build.
