  • How Do I Show a Chart in This Forum

    Hello,

I would like to display a chart in this forum for discussion. Can someone please tell how I do that?

    Cheers

    Solution...

    OK, Follow these instructions...

Look in your system tray (near your clock on your computer - normally bottom right of your screen). Look for the little grey CAMERA and click on it.

Now, drag the "target" tool to the chart you want to capture, then relase the "target" tool on that chart. A new window should appear - check the appropriate boxes to SAVE the file onto your computer.

Now, when you are trying a message in this BB, you can use the "ATTACH FILE" (browse button) to attach and include an image with your post.

    Hope this helps.

      Hello Carlton,

Looks like Brad beat me to the punch. Anyway, here's some additional info on posting images you may find helpful as well.

There are a couple of ways you can post an image using the Image Publisher in eSignal. First, click on the chart you want to create and image of and click on the Image Publisher icon.

      1. You can publish the image to your local PC and then use the attachment feature in the forums when creating a post.

      2. You can publish the image to a file share group and use the IMG option when creating a post. You'll need to register for an open publishing group in file share or create your own.

Click on the IMG button and you will be prompted for the URL of the image you want to display. If you just published the image to a file share group the URL for that image is active on your clipboard. So all you and to do is paste the info into the input box that appears and press CTRL+V.

All of the images used in this post were created with a program called SnagIt. I then used the eSignal SnapShot tool, which is the camera icon on your task bar similar to the Image Publisher icon. The snapshot tool also allows you to capture other windows on your desktop outside of eSignal to be used in the Image Publisher.
