Couple of questions on the subject:

1. I saw (non-price) scripts that set PricBarColor. Is this a legal procedure? Sometimes work,s some doesn't.

2. (This is a repeat question that has never been answered by qualified eSignal support).
Sometimes, removing the PriceBarColor (based on an input parameter) does not work. It comes all grey.
Why this happens?
How can be avoided?

With regards to #1 it can be done anytime AFAIK. The instances in which I have not seen it work (excluding issues due to a wrong statement) was because setDefaultPriceBarColor or SetColorPriceBars were missing.
