  • Inaccurate Data in HighFive.efs

I have noticed inaccurate data displayed quite a bit in the
HighFive efs, specificaly the INDU data, but there is other
data also wrong. This has been occuring for the past few
    days.

    Hi,

I think we're going to need a bit more information here. Do you see this incorrect data on a stand alone chart of $Indu? If so, might just be a matter of correcting some bad ticks. If the $INDU chart looks OK but the highfive does not, then it might be something wrong with the efs or another component. If at all possible, it's really helpful to post sample screenshots to illustrate what you're seeing.

    Thanks.

      Hi Scott:
The INDU chart is OK, just the value given in the High Five is
wrong. Bring up the High Five efs, and the INDU reading there
is currently 114. Is the Dow up 114 today? Nope, it should
      read down 1 currently.

        mriley123,

Have tou tried reloading or removing and re-opening the highfive.
I have used it for a long time. She can be fiesty at times, removing and reloading usually does the trick.

          Hi Mriley,

I see what you are referring to. I've had multiple updates with $INDU and only a few with the HighFive.efs which tends to knock them out of sync. I'll check with our Jason K, our EFS guru and see what his thoughts are. Either myself or Jason will reply. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep, reloading the High Five reset the values correctly. I had
restarted several times with the same bad data, and it was
being updated, so I thought the efs was not working correctly.
I'll reload when I see this problem in the future, but it is a bit
unsettling to not be able to rely on the data's accuracy.

The highfive efs has always been a little weird at times. It is alot better than the last version, thats for sure. I always keep a quote window with the Indices in it next to the highfive.

                Hello all,

The current version only redraws the table when at least one of the categories of the 6 symbols changes, which is also when the price info in the header row was being updated. I've made a change to the study so the price info will update whenever the chart's symbol updates. It will be included in the next release.
