market is open or not

Hi,

what is the trick to get if the market is currently open or not?

I tried isInSession() in a number of ways but none did work. IT always returns true!!!!

FYI, here's the reference info from the EFS Help Center.

isInSession( )

This function looks at the current clock time and compares it to the start and end times of the Time Template that you have applied. It returns true if the current time is within the start and end times of your Time Template, otherwise it returns false. If you use a 24-hour Time Template, this function will always return true.

Example:

var bInSession = isInSession(); //based on current time, are we in session?

But what if I want to check whether the market is open or not on a Daily or weekly chart?

As to my knowledge the start and end times are not valid on daily charts

This function is only intended for intra-day intervals.

No problem.

The only thing you can really do here is hard code a start and end time for the security you're looking at. You would then compare clock time to your start and end time. If you do a search for "end AND start AND time" you should find lots of helpful code examples.
