getNewestBarIndex() always 0?

getNewestBarIndex([symbol]) – Returns the index of the most recent bar.

isn't the result always zero?
when won't it be?
what am i missing?

In RT you are correct it will always be zero (or should be). When loading historical data it will be the index value of the bar.
