    Is there a way to force this implemenation of Javascript to check that all variable declarations have been defined similiar to Option Explicit in Visual Basic?

    This should be part of the standard syntax checker, but in reality it doesn't catch many cases. eSignal is aware of this and has it on the "things to fix", but I have no idea as to the priority they will apply to it.

      Thanks for your response. I found this error in one of the
      Trading Solutions scripts where a variable had some typos causing
      the underlying curves to be grossly inaccurate.

      Another suggestion would be to do an automatic syntax check
      before saving the EFS script.
