selecting bar ranges via clicking

Is it possible, within an EFS, to code for click events? For instance, lets say I want to create a volume histogram from some particular bar. Is it possible to code the EFS so I could just click on the bar in question? If this isn't possilbe, any suggestions on how to approach this would be appreciated.
