  • Referencing to Pivot Point Formula in the Wizard

    Hello,
i try to get a signal when Close is hitting a Pivotpoint.
But how do i get the Pivotpoint into the Wizard.
I can only reference to the builtinStudies with "Add study" for "Studies used" but not to the studies in the Pivot-folder with the formulas there.

I tried to copy the PivotPointR1.efs file into the Builtin-folder and renamed it to builtinPivotPointR1.efs. but it doesn't work.

    Regards
    Robert

The built-in formulas are literally hard coded into the eSignal application. The formulas in the Built-in folder are examples of ways to use the built-in study objects in EFS. The formulas in the Pivots folder are further examples of how to utilize EFS. Formula Wizard compatible EFS files are separate entities in and of themselves. They have a specific structure and format, so that the Formula Wizard can interpret them. Because the Pivot formulas are not exported Wizard code, and were just written in straight EFS code, they cannot be imported into the Formula Wizard.

Just for reference, here's an FAQ that may help get your custom EFS built.
