Weekly Stochastic

I’m trying to calculate a weekly 5,3,3 stochastic with little success. I have AGET EOD and want to calculate this on a daily basis but so far can’t even get my calculations for the weekly to agree with GET’s. Is GET’s weekly 5,3,3 stochastic smoothed using a simple or an exponential moving average? How many weeks of data are needed to complete one data point? I’ve checked a lot of sites, read a lot of threads I’ve searched on this site, but little info available for a manual calculation. Thanks

Thank you very much for your help in posting that link. I'm patiently working through the calculations but haven't hit the target yet. Would you happen to know if the smoothing constants as listed in the article (viz. 2 & 3) are the same that GET uses in calculating the weekly 5,3,3 stochastic? The article stated that different values may be selected.

FWIW the AdvancedGET Stochastic as well as the regular eSignal Stochastic use simple moving averages to smooth %K and to compute %D
