  • How do you make Candle sticks hollow in eSignal?

How do you get the candle sticks to go hollow like on the stand alone version. This sucks!!

  • #2
It's easy to make your candlesticks hollow. Simply right-click in the chart, then select Edit Studies. You should see check boxes to make the candles hollow, adjust the colors, etc. It's that easy.

    Thanks.

If you are referring to XTL and candlesticks you may want to see the settings in this message.

How do I change eSignal candlestick settings?

        Keith,

here is a picture of how you can change your candles... This menu is nicer than the
AGET platform because it allows more ways of minipulating candles to ones
preferences. Play with it and you will find has some nice features to it... marc

My edit studies box looks different

I can't get XTL and candles to work. Just switched over yesterday form stand alone and Edit studies box looks different. I am not up to date?

No, you are probably looking at the Edit Studies for XTL when you apply it.
After you have applied XTL right click the chart and select Edit Studies. The window that will open will have the same look as in my example.

Alex, I tried your link and got a message saying i either was not logged in... or given permission to access the page?

Keith, here is a picture of a setting I used... see if that gives you what you want with XTL and hollow candles.

To see what version you are running of eSignal, from the main eSignal Menu bar, choose Help, then About.

If you aren't on 7.4 (build 608), you can download it here.

                    Thanks.

That is strange. I just clicked on it and it seems to be working fine. It would appear that Keith got there too as he makes reference to it.
FWIW the message is in the eSignal 7.x Forum.

Anomolies! Dont you love them! It let me in now. I think there is something in my computer needed tweaked. Time for a little cookie cleaning and running Norton to check things out again.

                        Thanks Alex!

Keith, hope things are working for you now.

                            Keith,

Thanks for the question. It felt good to work it out as a team! Good teamwork Alex and Scott! We aim to please.

Just don't ask if the candle was a double doji, a red open bozu, a long legged shadows, or a tweezer top... now that is a little harder to answer!!

Welcome to the new eSignal platform... you're going to love it.
