  • Advanced get scanner question

What is the strategy behind buying or selling with trend in GET scanner. Is somebody using xtl strategy with stoch or volume.

    esignal73,

You may have an opportunity to ask that question today to Tom Joseph. He and Nate are working on an XTL Web-EX presentation this afternoon.

Below is a simple, 'quick look' sample chart of what buying or selling with the trend refers to in the scanner. In this example we look at a 5 minute red XTL. When it broke the W1 MOB and with Red XTL beginning we had a possible XTL sell. Now if it were to rally and stay red, or turn black for a brief time, we could use the red again as another sell opportunity idea. If we wish to improve our odds, we can use tools such as the Ellipse study, Fibonacci retracements, the current Wav4 Channels and Projections, etc, to help define a better possible XTL continuation trade setup. Volume is higher than normal since the top, and we have Stochastics with "false bar warnings." These help confirm current selling weakness. We have the makings in this example of a day-trade Type 1 Sell setup idea. If we had time we could try to frame up an XTL sell continuation as well out of this. I would even like to use a web if possible to define where the neutral zone is. If it is higher I am more inclined to try harder to sell this potential XTL red continuation if the opportunity presents itself.
