  • Duane,

I was going to congratulate you, again, when earlier today I noticed your KSS was up again....
If it backs off a little, it doesn't look like the stronger resistance has been hit yet. Again, another
good pick on your part.... Good hunting for more good trade ideas,

    Marc

      • My STOCK PICK, ON THE 'HOT LIST' for this week....

I now will be monitoring Tesoro Petroleum TSO
for any dip in price to as low as $26, where today's
gap is covered, for an aggressive Type 1 Buy setup.
My target will be minimum, the $32 area.

Just a quick find... will continue to research it to find
any better way to define more specific risk/reward
        parameters.

        • An my alert list now...

I cannot quickly define trade setup parameters,
but as of now, am going to start to track and
analyze ORCL more closely to see if there is
any trade opportunity in the near future.

          • Does anyone know why Mattel (MAT) went up
from $16 to $18 since the end of August to now???

Is this a stock we should monitor more closely this fall
for a pullback, and possible Type 1, or 2 of some sort?

I do now there can be a seasonality to Mattel sometimes.

(You tell me... I am just opening up the topic for discussion.)

                • Hi Marc,

I haven't "voted" on the nasdaq yet, but I will. One of the reasons I didn't is because I have no idea of the time frame in question. My short term and medium term direction is much different from my longer term.

Lacking anything to guide me, I will assume 1-2 weeks.

                        • I am conducting an unscientific survey.

The general question: as of this week, Sept 13-17, do you think the
Nasdaq Composite and Nasdaq 100 will continue to confound traders
with its trading action, yet still continue to maintain its recent overall
upward bias for the next month?

                          • Here is an "aggressive" Type 1 Buy setting up. Right now POM it is a 50-50 idea at this Short
ellipse. It is possible it also hold 18.50... but it would be a tougher trade to figure out.

                            • I don't show many Type 2 setups. Mostly because they are harder to explain.
This Type 2 Sell, the ASO daily, would have some merit. Not because I am
highly confident this stock has no more longer-term uptrend potential, but
rather because the "layered MOB" resistance was so convincing, it shifts the
risk/reward odds in my favor for a shorter-term sell setup. Now it is a matter
of trying to figure out how, when to take profits...

                              ... but ...

... that is a lesson for another day.
