In the window that follows, give your Template a name, such as 6-4 DMA, and then hit the Save button. You now have that setup saved as a Template.

To recall the template for future use, select the Moving Average button from the toolbar, select Templates, highlight the Template you want, and then hit the Load button. This will recall your Template setup, which you can then apply to the chart.

        Auto Page Feature

        Auto Page Feature

The Auto Page feature is used to take a portfolio, which is nothing more than a list of symbols, and create a saved page for each symbol in the portfolio. For this to be done, you must first create your portfolio. Once you have your portfolio, you need to go to the Page menu and select Auto Page. It is the last selection in the menu.

Once you have your portfolio loaded there, you will want to make sure that Save Auto Pages is checked and that the Rotation Speed is set to Zero. Next, you will select the Pages button in the lower right corner of the Auto Page menu. This will allow you to see the Saved Pages menu.

Once the pages menu is visible, find a saved page you already have that has the same studies and indicators on it you would like the pages being saved by the Auto Page feature to have and hit the Load Template button. You will notice that the chart for the saved page you selected loads in the background. The Auto Page feature will use this as the guide from which to build all of the pages that will be created. Now you will need to select which folder in which you would like the Auto Pages to be saved. You do this by left clicking on a folder on the right side of the window. If you would like a new folder to put these pages in, you simply left click on the folder icon in the lower left corner, type the name of the folder, and hit Enter.

You are now ready to run the Auto Page. Left click on the Auto Page button in the upper right corner. You will see the chart of each symbol in the portfolio flash on the screen as it is being created. Once the charts stop flashing, the Auto Page mode is done running. The last page that was created will be on the screen and you are free to do go on operating Get as normal from that point.

Exporting a Portfolio to a Text File

Exporting a Portfolio to a Text File

We have recently added the ability in Advanced GET to export a portfolio into a Text file for use in other programs. To do this, you must first have created a portfolio. Once that is completed, go to the Issues List Window (File and New Chart or right click on an existing chart) and select the Portfolios button.

In the new window that appears, the destination location for where the user desires the file to be saved is selected, and a name is given for the file. The last step is to hit the Save button to finalize the operation.
