  • XTL Extension review

With regards to the XTL extension, if the next bar after the first blue does the extension all is well

however lets assume the next couple of bars are black and don't meet the extension requirements, Under this scenario, does the XTL extension need to be re-assessed from its next first blue bar or should the original one be taken as the guide??

so in summary, should the first xtl extension be aspired to or is is the the first in series,

It is a judgement call. A new person should be picky with XTL signals; a sophisticated, experienced XTL trader will be able to occasionally find ways to twick the XTL rules.

      XTL TRADING

XTL ,cannot alone be used as an trading technique.
and moreover it is very less often thta if the first bar turns blue the next bar will turn blue,or even if it turns blue ,it may not fullfill the requirements,as the exact time to enter the trade.
and even if it turns bkueand we take a position then also,it does give agood result since it may turn red ,or blcak, and we have to exit ,,,withouit nay penny in our hand.

Stopped out - when to re-enter???

I have read the pdf Marc referred to and found it very interesting hence am studying XTL and trying to master it.

The chart attached seems a bit confusing to me because it is not an atypical example that Marc gave in the pdf. What I can see is that an uptrend has a continuation signal because the RTC has had a bar close above it. I then took a long position and had to exit at a loss (trading options).

Now do I take the short position based on it closing below the sell level relative to the original first red bar?

What I am not sure to do next is because what trend am I looking for? Do I consider the stock to still be in an up trend because of the earlier long continuation signal? Or because I got stopped out of it am I waiting for a new trend to occur? So should I be drawing the Fib Ext from the red bar that has the caption of "Exit long position at a loss"?

          Hi Stephen,

I'm not sure if you have had a chance to go through the XTL Presentation Video available at eSignal University, but regardless, I wanted to highlight the resource for future reference. Thanks.
