  • eSignal & Market Scan Trial Problems

    Hello Marc,

I know your not employed by eSignal and as such dont have the time to answer all the questions but Im a bit stuck and am not making progress. I have two areas of interest

1 - Hot Groups Market Scan

i've signed up for the months trial of eSignal and Market Scanner and am having trouble getting the HOt Groups Scan to display anything, maybe Im not setup, I don't get responses to my emails so not sure what to do with it.

see the attached image for a view of what I get displayed when I hit the go button

2 - I want to create three displaced moving averages that can be used as buy and sell signals in conjunction with the other tools (Polarised Fractals)

in GET EOD version I created these in the Moving Average area and saved them as a template

i've tried to use the EFS to create them but I cant even get a single line to display, is this a value add on that has to be purchased or am I in the wrong area??

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks and Regards

    Fractal

Ok, I sorted out how to add my three displaced moving averages using eSignal, turned out that the EFS is for searchs and to add the lines I had to right click the chart and add and modify via that method

I still have the scanner issue if anyone could help that would be great

Two ideas for the hot groups scan. (1) I kind of have a feeling it may have to do with something with time zones. Have you tried to look at the scan during New York Time, or during your Melbourne Australian time? Try it during NYT and see if it generates anything. If not, (2) continue to send as many emails as you need to until someone responds, or use their live support system for help, or if needed go ahead and just call tech support, and make absolutely sure you are enabled for this feature. If you are enabled, and it still does not show up, I honestly have no idea?

As for your EFS question, you really might want to go to the EFS thread and ask them for help. There are a few people here who know EFSm but there are a few people at the EFS thread who are familiar with AGET.

IF you are using the eSignal platform with AGET features, try just creating three separate Moving Averages with your parameters. The EOD allows for MA templates, but the new eSignal platform does not. I really wish it did, but it doesn't. So you may just have to go through the laborious process of manually creating moving averages one at a time, then same a chart template with those moving averages saved on it. Use the chart as your template instead of being able to use the MA menu to access your MA settings whenever you wish to use them.

Hope i explained this correctly, hope it helps....

      sincerely,

      Marc

        Ainsley,

Following up on your hotscan question.

Am pretty sure you may not be enabled for that feature if it still is not showing up this morning.

I tried it this morning on mine, and it does not show up either, but don't think it is turned on for me either.

Our former company developed this feature for eSignal, so have a fair amount of knowledge on it. It should show up once the market starts, if it is turned on for you. You still may need to reference it mostly on NY time?

          Good Morning Ainsley and MR!

Ainsley, the Turbo Scanner Trial should include all of the scanner products-Premarket, Power, Hot Groups and Rally. Check account maintenance to see if this has been added for your eSignal account. Go to Customer Support in eSignal and Click on Account Maintenance. Enter your username and password. Make sure that you are also subscribed to NYSE, AMEX and NASD. The scanner trial should also show an end date as it will automatically get cancelled after 30 days. If the account looks alright to you, the only thing you can do is to keep on emailing or you may call into the support line. You can also do Live Rep from the Customer Support menu- you don't have to pay for the phone call. It could be an account or an entitlement issue.

          Hope this helps.
