  • EUREX and XETRA no data - OFFICIAL EXPLANATION

EUREX and XETRA are down this morning. System Status shows only problems with Liffe and Euronext. Anybody else with this problem?

      Eurex is not down.

IB's TWS shows data for all contracts traded there.

eSignal stopped delivering quotes for Eurex around 8:13 CET.

        Hi,

The EUREX is now back up and running.

        Thanks,

eSignal continued with datafeed since 12:18, but still a datagap from 8:13.

My TWS also delivered data in the meantime.
Was an internal eSignal error then.

            Recap of Today's Eurex Issue

Due to some internal networking changes in our London Ticker Plant, our connection to Eurex was temporarily disabled. Due to a number of other factors (some related and some not), it took several hours to restore service.

A complete autopsy of today's outage is well underway and some steps have already been put in place to prevent a future occurrence. We apologize for the interruption in service today and we greatly appreciate your patience.

            Thank you.

I would appreciate it, if you could fill the gap before trading starts tomorrow.

              Many Thanks

                Hi Bernd,

One day in the near future, we'll be able to respond with a "yes, no problem" but, unfortunately, that's not the case at present. Due to the technical problems described earlier, we were not processing the Eurex feed so no data was being stored. We are also unable to "add" data to our current tick database so even if we could get the data from the exchange, we can't insert it yet.

We are well into a long-range project to serialize our data and redesign our tick databases. When that project is completed (hoping for late 2005), we'll have far more flexibity to fill-in holes and keep our historical data as clean as possible.

                Thanks.
