I am in tech support at Optionvue Systems supporting the renowned Optionvue 5 program. We need some help solving a recent problem (several months).
We have probably 100 clients using eSignal Data Manager to feed RT data into our program. Yet approximately 6-10 of these users are experiencing "bogging down" or "lockups" during Market Hours. Task Manager always shows optionvue as hogging all the CPU (95-100%) when this happens.
Our developers have combed the code and are stumped.
Each of these clients have newer high power PCs (many laptops) with lots of RAM, XP Pro and broadband connections. It does not seem to matter if they reduce the number of symbols, close down other apps, etc.
There is no other commonality that we can determine as far as internet connection, hardware, data manager version (all have upgraded but the problem started with different 7.x versions.
We cannot reproduce the problem in house and as I said MANY other clients are working fine.
We need help!
Thanks,
Sandy
