My $NYA daily data goes back only until the start of the year...can someone tell me why?

At the beginning of the year the NYSE revised the computation for the index and set the base to 5000.
Data is actually there also prior to that but as Close only as they opted not to use the prior data on an adjusted basis or recreate an artificial OHLC based on the new computation.
Change the chart to Line and you should see the earlier data
