cpu spiking more frequently

Hello,

I noticed that over past week or two that my cpu is spiking to 100% and staying spiked much more frequently than in the past.

I'm collecting emini data realtime.. has something changed?

CME has made tweaks to the Globex engine, which has created more "data spikes" as the exchange calls it. This could lead to an increase in CPU during these peak periods.

If the CPU spikes are more at random vs. during peak periods of activity, then I would suggest reviewing this KB article.

I was having this same problem. WINSIG in my processes was the culprit, consuming huge CPU sporadically. Once I upgraded to the latest esig release, the problem disappeared. Running very smooth now.
