I think I have finally found them. Try the following:
        for Stoxx 50
        $SX5P-STX (in Euro)
        $SX5L-STX (in USD)
        for EuroStoxx 50
        $SX5E-STX (in Euro)
        $SX5K-STX (in USD)
        Hope this helps
        Alex

FWIW all the eSignal symbols for Stoxx Indices can be found here.
Key to the search however was going directly to the STOXX site and looking for the fact sheets on the indices at the link below

You need to have a separate subscription to STOXX Indices (4 dollar or Euro per month) in order to see these.

Still can't figure out what's what. There's a 1000 of these in the Symbol Search and they all say Exchange: DBN, Name: Stoxx Indices.

Is there a Euro Stoxx equivalent of the $UVOL and $DVOL as in the U.S.?

                  TIA

                    i don't think esignal provides cash sx5e.
i have to use a manual chart programme to deal with it.

The symbol for SX5E is $SX5E-STX for the index quoted in Euros and $STX5K-STX for the index quoted in US Dollars

this is indeed very helpful. many thanks.
however i could only retrieve daily data, no intraday intervals are available. i dont know whether there is a possibility there.

Alexis, you've really been too kind. I only have EOD data, probably that's why intraday for sx5e cash index is not available.
i just wonder what your avartar is?
