Emini Russell 1000

Hi,

I'm trying to locate the eSignal symbol for the Emini Russell 1000 futures.

According to symbol search the December contract is RN Z05, but when I use this the chart heading is "RN Z05 NOX Emissions Futures", but the prices do look close enough to the delayed quotes on the CME to be correct.

Is this just a labelling error, or is the symbol search incorrect?

Hi Rob,

The symbol format for futures within eSignal is as follows..

<Root Code><space><monthly expiration code><year>

With this is mind, the symbol will be expressed as RN Z5

By using the symbol search, you can find other Russell 1000 contracts, such as RN #F. This is the symbol that we use to always default to the front month and string the various quarterly contracts in one comprehensive view.

Hi & thanks for the quick reply.

I'm ok with the symbol format, and my symbol search comes up with the same results as in your screen shot.

The confusion is when I actually open a chart for RN Z5 I get what is shown in the attached screen shot. I've highlighted the source of confusion

Problem solved. I was running 7.8 (build 868) - which is pretty old

Upgraded to 7.9.1 (build 738) and the labelling is now correct.

Thanks for the update. I figured the naming was tied to an older version. Glad to hear it's resolved.
