  • EUR interval comparison

just comparing a few different intervals ...

    EUR A0-FX 180min 01/20 06:00 high=1.2092 low=1.2059
but on 30min, the 6 bars in the above period, high=1.2091 low 1.2038

    EUR A0-FX 180min 01/19 06:00 high=1.2108 low=1.2074
but on 30min, the 6 bars in the above period, high=1.2108 low 1.2059

can anyone throw any light on this?

    Paul,

What time zone do you have set on this PC? We'd like to look at this, but in order to properly duplicate this, we need this key information.

      futurenets,

you have to set your time templates to new york time + three.

i am from germany - for me it is 9:00 to 9:00.

      six to ny + three.

      every thing is fine

      greetings

        thanks for your response.

        I'm not using time templates (0.00 - 24.00) and I'm in the UK with GMT = 0.

you have to create a time template with 08:00 to 08:00 for forexcharts only and it will run.

          greetings

would like to understand this difference if anyone can help?

i.e. will the time template (or absence of) and GMT influence chart accuracy across different time intervals?

if so, are there rules that we should follow for different securities e.g. forex majors/crosses, fixed income etc.

based in UK GMT = 0.

See this thread for a brief explanation of the issue.
Also note that this problem exists only wihen using chart intervals greater than 60 minutes that don't fit exactly in the difference in time between local time zone and PST.
