  • $DXC (US$ Index) no longer updating

$DXC stopped updating last night (11/9/06 8:20pm EST). Nothing since then in eSignal's price database either. Is eSignal looking into this?

    Hello,

We have been asked by the NYBoT to stop carrying data without the proper entitlements. So as of yesterday, Nov. 9th, $DXC is no longer available as a free index. The new symbol for the US Dollar Index is DX A0, which is broadcast from the New York Board of Trade (NYBoT). You will need the NYBoT entitlement in order to get data for DX A0. NYBoT subscriptions are available either real-time or delayed.

    Thanks,
    J.J.

        Max
Have you tried using the symbol DX A0 as indicated in the prior post?
That symbol appears to be updating

          Hi Max and Everyone,
By using the Spread Symbols Settings tool you can create your own symbol based on the equation of the Dollar Index. Below we have provided the equation to help create your custom spread. Please highlight and copy the formula below into the Spread Symbol Tool. For instructions on how to use the Spread Symbols Settings tool see
this article in the eSignal KnowledgeBase.

          50.14348112 * ((EUR A0-FX * .576) + (JPY A0-FX * .136) + (GBP A0-FX * .119) + (CAD A0-FX * .091) + (SEK A0-FX * .042) + (CHF A0-FX * .036))

DXC Spread Symbol formula crashes eSignal 8

There's no question about it... after entering the formula in the spread symbol settings and clicking on "Add", eSignal v.8 crashes...

What gives? Can it be this difficult for eSignal to provide this as a complimetary service?

              Hi RuGO,
This was a bug in the early version of the eSignal 8.0 build 779. In the newer build this was corrected and a new version offered.
Please click here to get the newest build. Once you have downloaded and installed the new build 782 you will be able to create the custom spread provided.

Sorry for any inconvienence this caused.
