Short Interest

Hi,
Is there a way to obtain the daily short interest from esignal? Thank you.

Short Interest is only released once a month from the exchanges, but, yes, I need that info in Esignal too. Qcharts has it as an insertable field on the L2 screens. If Esignal can add it to the top of the Market Depth screens as an allowable field, it would be excellent.

Is there a way to display short interest on esignal? Seems strange there isn't. Not sure who compiles it for which exchanges but I'm surprised it's not included in one of the many data feeds I have.

Within eSignal 10.6 in a Quote Window you can right click a column heading and then go to Add field. From the list that appears scroll down the S's and you should see all of our short interest columns there that you can add. In eSignal 11.3 right click a column heading in a Watch List and select Add Column. Scroll down to the S's and the same short interest columns are available her as well. Hope this helps

Yeah I know about doing it this way but I was looking for a way to display it via a chart. A chart of NYSE short interest was one exact study I was looking for.

We don't have this as a built in study that can be put on a chart currently and I'm unable to find an EFS that someone has written that will display this on a chart. I have put this suggestion in for an upcoming feature to our developers.

you may also put in suggestions like this using the Request a Feature form in the support menu of eSignal 11.
