  • Missing/Wrong Data

We have 2 different eSignal subscriptions each running on a different computer located side by side.

When running the same symbol on both systems sometimes a lot of data is missing on one computer whereas it seems to be complete on the other. We are using both 10 and 1 min time intervals, and the problem appears on both intervals.

On one computer we have eSignal version 10.0.0 (and on this computer the data seems to be complete). On the other computer we have installed the recent eSignal version 10.0.1086.932, but unfortunately some data is missing, as you can see in the enclosed snapshot:

    1. from 17:25 to 21:30 the data is completely missing.
    2. from 21:30 to 22:00 only part of the data is shown.

Thank you for your advise of what should be done in order to rectify this problem.

It would appear we have a d/b problem with a tick server one of your systems is connecting to. I would guess that if you exited/restarted, you'd likely connect to different servers and this issue would go away.

If the problem is still present later today, please go into LiveRep (LiveRep Support will resume by 4pm PT today) and we can check what servers you are connected to and inform our QA team what server needs to be taken offline and repaired.

    Thanks.

ScottJ, thank you very much for your assisstance. Should the problem arise again we will follow your advise.

Please let us know if refreshing the chart with Ctrl+OK may also be a good solution for such aproblem.

      Thank you again.

If you are on a "bad" server, refreshing the chart will not help. You'd need to exit and restart to connect to a different server. We have many alarms that help us know when a server is not functioning correctly but sometimes a problematic server doesn't trigger an alarm so it's still in the rotation.

        Thanks.
