  • Eurex Upgrade and symbol changes for DAX

    Important Notice for Eurex Subscribers:

On the evening of Monday, June 23rd, 2003 we will be converting our Eurex feed, along with the regional exchanges Frankfurt, XETRA, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Hanover, Hamburg, and Munich, to a new and enhanced configuration within the eSignal Network. We expect this change to result in better reliability and improved performance.

This conversion should be seamless to customers with one important exception. As of Tuesday, June 24th, 2003, you must use the symbol $DAXI to receive updates on the DAX Index.

Currently, the DAX index is being transmitted under 3 different symbols:
    $DAXI
    AX A0-DT
    $DE0008469008-XET

Effective June 24th, there will only be one valid symbol for the DAX:
    $DAXI

If you are using either of the two symbols that are being discontinued, please update your charts, quote windows, formulas, tickers, etc to the $DAXI symbol as soon as possible.

The data on these 3 symbols has always been identical so you should see no difference by using $DAXI exclusively.

We have also sent an email to all of our Eurex subscribers. If you do not receive an email from us regarding this change, please log onto Account Maintenance and check to make sure we have a valid email address for you on file.

    Thanks.
