Typing "Yen" into Symbol serach gives a wealth of indecies with descrpitions that dont mean much, and are often identical ("JAPANESE YEN FCO" ocuurs 6 times - not useful).
Trying $XJY (being the SC symbol) gives me the attached chart. Obviously the data is "duf" (in any normal sense at least), it also seems not even to be daily (weekly perhaps).
So,
This data is faulty?
Without "uncommon" subscriptions (I don't have forex either), what's the best way to get daily (index) bars?
I do have the CME Emini (ZJ), but it seems to have gaps of an hour or more so I've never been that tempted by it. Is there an alternative intraday (24 hour) symbol too?
