  • DXO, OLO have wrong descriptions

The descriptions for some symbols come through incorrectly.

Specifically, at least two come through with this description:

    "DEUTSCHE BK AG LONDON BRH"

    These are:

DXO (Powershares DB Crude Oil Double Long)
OLO (Powershares DB Crude Oil Long)

We wouldn't refer to those names as "incorrect" per se but clearly there's some room for improvement. We've been working on a new descriptive file that should be released within a week or so that will make those names clearer and easier to identify.

    Thanks.

While you are at it, you should check every security in that list identified as:

      '"DEUTSCHE BK AG LONDON BRH"

I found serveral others and I was not looking!!!

BTW, I reported this verbally to support on two occasions as I recall.

All ETF and Mutual Funds will be covered by the new file. In case you're not aware, the exchanges don't provide "name of instrument" in their feed, believe it or not. It's up to the distributors to gather the fundamental data types (like name) and add it to the record.

        Thanks.
