  • Pasting Esignal Data Into Excell Spread Sheet

Does anyone know the process for pasteing into an excell spread sheet, the Regional Options (All Excahanges) Options Data (Puts & Calls)? I can paste CBOE Puts adn Calls data from the Esignal "options chain" using "Sig Tools" but have not figured out how to paste data from the other exchanges (Regional Data).

I called Sig Tools... their program pulls the data off of the Esignal server. They do not know the correct format for pulling Regional Options.

I called Esignal Tech Support... they suggested someone on the Bulletin Board may have the answer.

    Hello John,
To get the regional options, they need to use the =A, =I, =P, =W, and =X symbology. An example would be SXB TR=P.

    For additional information

    Best regards,

      Walter,

Thank you... I knew it had to be something simple.

        Hi Walter,

I tried the excell/Sig Tools format suggested with no luck. For example, using IMB Sept 75 Call (IBM IO).

IBM IO This gives the default CBOE data with no problems

These are still blank when I hit the DOE Matrix Fill
        IBM IO=I
        IBM IO=A
        IBM IO=P
        IBM IO=W
        IBM IO=X

Is there another step I am missing?

I am currently using Version 7.4 for eSignal Layout and Data Manager, and Sig Tools Version 2000.1.3. My operating System is Windows 98.

        Thanks,
        John

I am sorry, I forgot to mention that you must include single quotation marks on both ends of the symbol. See example below

          =winros|Last!'ibm io=p'
