    Hi Jay

Yesterday when forex start trading about 4.00PM
EUR, GBP and JPY showing very high, low spikes
But CHF is worst, It was trading arond 1.3700
on chart show about two bar (30 Mintue timeframe)
    high up to trade 1.7513.
But I did not see those on my broker's quote board
or there chart. Also I check some sites, provide free
forex charts, I do not see antwhere else those
unusual spikes. Its only my chart on advanced charting

We received numerous bad prints from GTIS on many Forex symbols on 8/17/03. CHF is, as Bassian mentioned, the worst of the lot. With 1400 bad ticks on CHF this is difficult to repair, in fact at this point, it's essentially not possible. Our QA Team will keep this on their radar, and once they have the ability to fix this, it will be corrected.
          Regards,
          Jay F.

Here's a great workaround from Alex and illustrated nicely by Marc...

While awaiting a reply from eSignal may I suggest you use Price Filtering.
To apply this tool right click on the chart and select Tools->Price Filtering. In the dialog box put a checkmark in Enable and adjust the % range of nearest bars to 50.
That should correct most of the errant ticks for now.
                Alex

It appears that the banks HFH and BH are reporting spurious data on the Euro/Yen Cross. We do have the ability to pull banks from the feed if it gets too bad, but that would also in turn not give the complete picture. What is everyone's feelings on this?

Can the Price Filtering work-around Alex proposed in combination with the Bar Editor be an adaquate solution until the banks can address their problem? Or should we pull them?
                  Regards,
                  Jay F.

                    Thank you JayF and Alex.
Now I will try to use the solution suggested by Alex and in a few days I will let you know how it works.

I take this opportunity to say that the problem of prices on forex it is not a problem of these days, but e-signal always had this problem, since I have beeing using it.
I think the aim, little by little, is to replace banks giving not correct data by others more reliable. I believe all traders think the same since it is impossible to do technical analysis if we have not correct prices.

Recently, after Alex suggestion, I am using "Report a bad tick" when I find some uncorrect prices, but it seems they are not promptly corrected. Fortunatly I can correct by myself the price using "bar editor".

I trust in the e-signal effort to solve on the basis the problem of the prices on the forex.

                    Regards

                    Sergio
