  • Data feed for Metastock

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I will ask anyway.

I have had Metastock End-of-Day version for years, and was using their Reuters data feed. When I started with eSignal, I decided to cancel the subscription to Reuters, since I wasn't using Metastock very much after switching.

I now find myself wanting to use Metastock again for a few proprietary formulas that I haven't been able to program into eSignal yet. My question is, is there away to download the data from eSignal directly into Metastock? I have tried cutting and pasting via a spreadsheet, so I could convert the data, but the process is rather tedious.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    VT

May I definately recommend qCollector for eSignal?

    http://www.mechtrading.com/qcollector/esignal/index.htm

I use this to download stockdata into databases for 15min and daily data, to use in different programs then eSignal. The main format is ASCII, but it has an option to (seperately) build databases in Metastock format.

I have been using it for over a year now, and I am very pleased with it. I think the price is around 80 dollars.

    Regards,

    Edo.

You can also check out out Dynaloader for eSignal:Metastock Edition.

It downloads all periodicities you have and the symbols of your choice.
