Forex Historical data

Hallo,

1) Does the amount of historical data for forex on advanced charts correspond to the amount available for stocks and indices ? Specially interested in intraday 60 min, daily, weekly and monthly charts.

2) Are there any limitations for forex charting and tech analysis compared with stocks, indices and futures ?

Intraday charts will go back approximately 120 days on Forex data. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly charts stretch back to about '98 or '99 depending on the symbol.

Looks like we missed one of your questions:

2) Are there any limitations for forex charting and tech analysis compared with stocks, indices and futures ?

Forex data only contains a bid/ask record so it's possible that some analysis tools require information like volume or sizes. Some analysis tools are designed for specific instruments, i.e. stocks or futures so in those cases, the analysis on a Forex symbol may be skewed or not relevant.

This is more of a traders question so perhaps other users can chime in.
