$NF - No longer supported?

I just noticed that $NF (NYSE Financials) index has stopped updating on 1/8/04, and it's no longer in the symbol guide

Has it been officially remove or replaced by another symbol?

Hi,

The NYSE Financial Index was one of many indices removed by the NYSE. To date, they have not indicated that this index will be replaced with an alternate symbol.
