Post moved to a new thread in the Data Inquiry section since it was originally posted in an un-related thread.

    Kanuti,

We'll look into your question tomorrow and get back to you.

    Thanks.

      Hi Kanuti,

Are you referring to 4/22? The current trading day is 4/23 and the data is currently building. Can you confirm 4/22 was the data in question? Thanks.

Yes, 4/22/04 was the correct date for those quotes. I edited my post.

The reason the closing values are different among intraday time frames compared to daily closing prices is due to the fact that the daily close is the "official" closing price set by the exchange. In regards to the shorter time frames, they are different due to the way they are constructed. For example, a 60 minute chart is representing 60 minutes of data per bar. When the market for QQQ opens at 9:30, the bars begin building in 60 minute increments. The building follows this sequence, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 and so on. At the close of trading on QQQ, the bar stops at 4:30, but trading officially stopped at 4:15. eSignal is including the extra 15 minutes because of the 60 minute interval. During this time, late reported trades can come through as the last price, but the daily has "been set in stone" by the exchange as the official closing price, not taking into account any late trade reporting. The same holds true for the other smaller time intervals. They are constructed in the same way, but the interval is different.

I understand your reply but do not understand why the charts do not stop at the time set. Seems to me it your chart time is set to end at 14:15 nothing more should print past that time.
