I'm also been extensively looking for a way to figure out the New High - New Low Index (NH-NL) within esignal without success. It seems to be a common indicator so it has to be there somewhere. At worst someone has made an .efs file for it. Am I just blind and not seeing it?
these don't exist. Have to be calculated on the server, I guess. Should be easy for eSignal to do. Data is there, just needs to be summed up. If you look at the Detail window, it shows 52 wk high and low and the color changes whenever those points are exceeded, so the servers know when each stock has a new high or low. If they wanted to get really cute, they could make it programmable so you could ask for 52 week highs, or 20 day highs, or 13 week highs or whatever. Never could figure out why they don't provide, and all requests go into black hole with no explanation. Even the free data sources provide them. For the fee paid, they should be included.

Anyone from eSignal looking at this thread here? It's almost 2012 now and we still don't have a NH-NL indicator with variable time periods (20d, 65day, etc.). Instead of raising prices every year how about closing the gap to your competitors and offering this very basic indicator?
you could put in the symbol $ATHI.NQ-ST - $ATLO.NQ-ST to get the indicator I believe you are looking for. This information came from the following KB article.

I am looking to build a custom Alexander Elder's New High New Low Index on other non US-indices.
Would I be able to build such custom indicators with your platform?
ie. extract "past 52-period high / low" data for individual stocks & aggregate them up in a single script?
Does esignal allow users to call out past data with such flexibility. For eg. I wish to call the past 52 period (15min) high for a particular stock.
Does esignal have a team that builds such customized indicators for a fee?
Alternatively, does your qlink excel dde contain a field such as a "52-period" high/low.. For say a 15min or 5min or 4hr interval or any other timeframe. If yes, is the period also adjustable to say 26-period high/low?
