Eurex data problem

  • Eurex data problem

    I am having data problems with Dax, Eurostoxx and Bund futures this morning.

    I've tried refreshing the chart and have logged out and back in but all intraday charts are still missing data from today.

    Is this problem being investigated?

    Same here

    I've just called the support and they have confirmed a problem concerning the historical data for future indices.

        Missing European futures data

        eSignal Tech,

        Please be advised:

        Data for 1 min bars on contracts "LX U4-LF" (the FTSE 100) and "AX U4-DT" (the DAX) is missing from 2:00am CT til 7:12am CT.

          FWIW I am seeing data for both contracts. AX U4-DT does show a glitch though between 10:40 and 11:05 EST

            We must be connecting to different servers then, because I am still seeing no 1 min data on those contracts from 2:00am CT (when they opened) until 7:12am CT.

            eSignal, PLEASE CHECK THIS.

                Still missing...

                This is a screenshot of what I am seeing in both contracts. Data for 7/27/04 should begin at 2:00am, not 7:00am. 5 hours are missing.

                  UPDATE:

                  OK...here is some additional diagnostic info that might help eSignal to pin down the problem.

                  My usual routine is to run several instances of a 3rd part app that use eSignal RT data. One of those instances calls up data for "ES U4" and "NQ U4", and another instance calls up data for "LX U4-LF" and "AX U4-DT" (the two European contracts with missing data probs). If I open the instance calling ES & NQ first, and open the instance calling LX & AX second, the data is missing from these latter two from 2:00am CT til 7:00am on 7/27/04.

                  However, if I open the European contracts first and the US contracts second, NO data is missing.

                  This suggests to me that data for the European contracts is missing on some, but not all, of your servers.

                  Please try to make sure that this data is complete on ALL of your servers as soon as possible.

                    I've logged on and off Esignal 7 times this morning as I have data for AX U4-DT missing from yesterday from the open at 08:00 am to 13:30..!!

                        Hi All,

                        Thanks for your posts.

                        I can see the issue you are referring to, this was caused by an issue with our tick servers yesterday. We do have the data but it is a case of importing all the data to the missing ones. Some servers are affected while others work perfectly fine.
                        You can try to log off and log on again as a short term fix and hopefully you will connect to a correct server (please remember to log off all eSignal applications, data manager etc.)

                          I have seen this problem yesterday too: for the GB U4-DT (Bund Future) data have been missing from the open till around 14:00 CET for the 2004-07-27. Today the first hour is still missing for this day.

                          But is this really a problem of the eSignal servers? I have been running NeoTicker side-by-side with eSignal charts, both using the eSignal data Manager as source for their data, and the NeoTicker charts show the data complete and correctly. I did not reboot nor restart eSignal or anything like that.

                            Hi All,

                            You may have the data within the Neo ticker as the issue was linked to certain servers only. We have the data for the morning session and it is just a case of having it restored.

                              In this case, it was NeoTicker's disk cache which did the job.

                              But I just had another problem: at 11:00 CET GB U4-DT stopped updating. No updates in the Quote window, no updates in the T&S window, no updates in the tick charts nor in the hour chart. Stopping and starting Advanced charts did not help.

                              I waited for about 30 minutes, but this error is not self-healing.

                              All the time all other quotes/charts worked: ZN, ES, AX, ET happily continued to show current quotes.

                              And all the time NeoTicker updated its tick charts for GB U4 and showed the current quotes as compared to IB.

                              So the eSignal data manager did deliver the quotes, but eSignal advanced charts did not show them.

                              Only after completely stopping and rebooting my PC could I get the quotes for GB to update again.

                              And I still do not get data for the first hour of 2004-07-27.
