        Hello Richard,

Our product Manager informed me that you're issue is on the list of fixes for 10.4 and should be corrected with its release in the coming weeks. I encourage you to keep and eye on the eSignal Beta Test forum for more information it eSignal 10.4’s release.

Is it fixed in the new version?

I have tried many versions but have never had success with any version after 8.0.

          thx.

            Hello Richard,

Can you please provide us with one or more of your eSignal pages so that we can test them out in the new 10.4 version of eSignal? You can either email them toforums or PM them to me.

            Thank you

This may be a stupid question but I can't find the "attach file" button in Private Message.

Would you please show me a captured screen of the button?

                    Hello Richard,

According to this post from Technical Support in Australia the issue you've been encountering has been addressed and resolved in eSignal 10.3.

At your earliest convenience please download the latest version of eSignal and confirm that issue is resolved for you as well.

                      eSignal 10.4 works now.

                      Two more questions:
                      i) soemtimes I get the message "line 34: null can't convert Error to string", would you please advise what goes wrong?
ii) I remember that there used to be a thread asking for volunteers to participate in a project in which only the latest bid/offer data is sent (historical bid/offer are not sent) to reduce the initial chart loading time. I tried it at the time but failed (can't remember the symption). Is this arrangement by default in the new version? Or do I still need to register?
iii) actually the initial loading time seems even higher than version 8.0, what can go wrong? When I used 8.0 I can get the charts within 5 seconds when on GPRS. With the new version, it takes more than a minute.

PS: I never use bid/offer so I am ok to omit them altogether

I want to downgrade my notebook (using GPRS) to ver 8 as the new version is very slow. I remember there is a page describing how to do it tidily (without messing up the registries, etc).

Would you please point me to the page?

Please still try to help on my previous questions as downgrading again is not the best option

I loaded the charts today and there is no lag. So maybe previous lag was not related to the version upgrade.

However, the charts don't look the way it used to be. The lines no longer look smooth. Would you please advise?

You may load the EFS "intraday EMA level 10min" to see the result. The lines used to be smooth but it is no longer now. It seems that the EMAs and LSMA are not calculated using data in 9:30-16:15 timeframe (data in 24hour timeframe seem to be used instead).

The behavior you are seeing is caused by what I believe is a a known issue with the setIntervalsBackfill() function.
Comment it out [for the time being] and the script will return the same plot as in version 8 as you can see in the enclosed screenshots which were captured using version 8 (top image) and version 10.4.1540 (bottom image)

                              One question...

I have a SIM card for use when on tirp in China. It is a WCDMA plan so I can run eSignal on my notebook.

In last 2 days, when I open the chart only the candle sticks appear but there is no background color (in normal situation there should be colors like what my charts below show).

When I right-clicked and try to reload, I noticed that the efs keeps on say "loading".

This only happened in last 2 days. I joined the WCDMA plan 2 months ago and before Wed everything was ok.

It seems to be caused by the mobile operator instead of the software itself as when I use fixed network there is no issue. But the mobile operator insists me to check with eSignal as they have not blocked any service.

I have run into similiar case like this when I use other mobile internet plan in other countries. Some operators block the service. But I have difficulty explaining to China Mobile (the operator) what their technical department may have blocked.

So can you give advice on below 2 things?
                              i) any idea what service they may have blocked?
ii) why can I get the candle sticks but NOT the background color? It is strange as the background color is based on the price data which I should have been able to download as the candle sticks are there

                              Thank you.

                                Second issue...

I am still using 8.0 and have just tried to upgrade to the latest version (10.5).

When I load the page, all the charts disappear. So is 10.5 backward compatible or do I need to make a new page, add the charts and set all the EFS from scrap again?

Anyway, I have set up new page and pull up the EFS. But several EFS ("Pivot Point", "Pivot Point R1", "Pivot Point S1") no longer work. Would you please advise why??

                                ;(
