  • What is eSignal doing about prop H.R. 1068?

I am sure that many of you are aware that there is a proposed bill in the pipeline that would essentially stop daytrading of all US equities, futures and options. It proposes a transaction tax on both buy and sell sides.

    More info here

    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-1068

    and here

I would like to know what eSignal as a company are doing about this

    Thank you

Thanks for passing the information along. I wasn't personally aware of that pending legislation. We'll pass it along internally but it wouldn't be typical for us to make a public response on forums such as these.

    Thank you.

Than ks, that would be good. I am sure that there will be many attempts to bash us by the "kill wall street" lobby so it would be good to stay on top of them.

I found this page on a search, I don't know anything about the people putting it togther, but there is a link to a FAQ page.

If nothing else, there is some reasonable text there that someone can copy and paste and send in their own letters to their elected officials.

If you are making a living trading, seems like you may want to add your voice to this process.
