  • Spread Symbols on Standard Charts?

    Hi,

Will eSignal be providing the option to use Spread Symbols on Standard Charts (.ch)?

In all likelihood, no. Standard Charts are built on very old legacy code and will eventually be removed once the unique functionality of SC gets ported over to Advanced Charts.

    Thanks.

      Hi Scott

I remember now that eSignal were planning to update the advanced charts with some of the standard chart features.

Do you know when this will occur, and will the overlays option (based on % change comparisons) be available on advanced charts?

        Hi Paul,

We've added percentage scale to 10.4 (currently in internal alpha) and we expect to officially release 10.4 by the end of March. We also added an Area chart type so below is a screen shot from the 10.4 alpha that is comparing GOOG and YHOO on a percentage basis and utilizing the new area chart for a more acute visual representation.

        Thanks.

In the mean time you can plot an equivalent of a percentage chart using efs. As an example see the enclosed image of a chart created using the PerformanceComp.efs which is available here compared to a Standard Chart Overlay using the same symbols
